Turns out Brian Kilmeade of Fox and Friends thinks Megan Fox would be perfect for the role of Wonder Woman in that new TV show announced a while back . But when he suggested that casting to original TV Amazon Lynda Carter, we learned she's not quite as keen on the idea.
Carter, who was promoting her new album, explained her problem with Fox by saying the Transformers star "actually kind of trashed Wonder Woman" recently:
"She said she thought it was dumb, because like 'what's the big whoop making people tell the truth.' ... I like her, I just thought she shouldn't trash Wonder Woman."
Check out the complete clip below.

Apparently, the actress has actually already spoken to key members of the production team and expressed interest… and they’re (that includes some suits at Warner Bros, whom she worked with on Lost Boys: The Thirst) apparently big fans, so her name will undoubtedly be amongst the four or five young actresses that are ultimately shortlisted for the role of the Amazonian princess. “She will definitely get to screen test”, says an insider.Phoenix certainly looks the part. She's 5'9 and all kinds of gorgeous. Aside from The Lost Boys movie she has appeared in Lord Of War with Nicholas Cage, a few straight to dvd flicks and has been cast in the lead for HBO's upcoming show Femme Fatales.

DC Universe Online's Iconic Battle Suit Upgrades are Kick A$$ & Bad A$$
Sony Online Entertainment released this week another series of videos in advance of DC Universe Online, the massively multiplayer role-playing game based on the superheroes of DC Comics. The latest clip previews "Iconic Battle Suits," described as the ultimate reward for players. After enough points are accumulated, players can receive from Wonder Woman or Black Adam a themed battle suit.
Both Wonder Woman and Black Adam's battlesuits are rooted in the more mythological side of the DCUO spectrum, with their combined pieces reflecting the might of their respective Greek and Egyptian mythologies. Wonder Woman's armor, Hera's Strength, assembles the might of the gods of Mt. Olympus, while Black Adam's Anubis Shroud wards off the forces of its deathly namesake. From the gameplay shown, both outfits seem to pack the kind of power their names imply.
More tech-based armors gifted from heroes like Batman and villains like the Joker are set to join these mythical suits down the line, meaning players should have plenty of in-game costume advancements to look forward to.
Check out the video below for a first look at these bad a$$ add-ons:

Megan Fox Turns Down the Role of Wonder Woman. WTF?
Transformers
Sources say that Megan doesn’t want to don Wonder Woman’s costume because she has resolved to take on more serious movies.
“Megan has been linked to the role and there was an approach at one point but she’s not going anywhere near Wonder Woman,” says a source close to the star. “She wants to move on to more serious roles.”
As if that plan isn't bat shit crazy enough, the 24 year old actress is also considering plans to have a temporary Hollywood hiatus and enter the Broadway scene. “Theater really appeals to her. She has nothing lined up yet but she’s open to offers. She hopes to mix theater work with some smaller indy movies and only do big movies if they are right for her. Megan is desperate to get away from her Transformers image and move on with her acting career."
Megan Fox is crazy not to take the role, but then again, having followed her career closely, she is actually a little bit crazy. Its part of what makes her so sexy. Having said that, she's still only really known for her role in Transformers. Don't you have to build up some sort of body of work before you make the leap to "serious" acting? Her films outside of Transformers have all been complete bombs.
After putting out Jennifer's Body
Megan, make this fanboy's wet dreams come true, and please reconsider.

NYCC 10: DC Announces FLASHPOINT as Next Big Event. What is It?
After the announcement at NYCC 2010 that the next big Mega event for DC would be Flashpoint, I decided to do some research to determine what is Flashpoint?
If you recall DC and Geoff Johns teased us with a new series called Flashpoint in the first issue of The Flash.
After researching and reading numerous references to Flashpoint, I came across a post by Joey Esposito at Craveonline. Joey does a wonderful job of breaking down the teaser images for Flashpoint in the Flash #1 and analyzing other references to from DCU's history to form a hypothesis on DC's next big event.
Here is a summary of Joey's breakdown of Flashpoint:
What do you think Flashpoint is all about? Do you even care about it? Do you think rises to the level of a mega event? Let us know?
If you recall DC and Geoff Johns teased us with a new series called Flashpoint in the first issue of The Flash.

Here is a summary of Joey's breakdown of Flashpoint:
So panel for panel, the first two are pretty obvious. Clock counting down. But the third panel is where things get interesting, with the Reverse-Flash costume coming out from Barry Allen's ring, where his usual scarlet costume is kept. Judging by the surprise on Barry's face, this is an unexpected occurrence. What's intriguing is the recent re-emergence of Eobard Thawne in The Flash: Rebirth, where we discover that Professor Zoom has been orchestrating Barry's life since childhood, from the death of his mother to his "resurrection" from the Speed Force.
Next up is Jay Garrick, Wally West and Bart Allen getting themselves rocked by the Speed Force, shades of Barry Allen back in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Combined with the panel above it, I think it's safe to say that some external force is messing with the Flashes, and perhaps even the Speed Force itself.
So, just what the hell could this all mean? Well, one important thing to note is a little series called... Flashpoint. In 1999, DC Comics released an Elseworlds story by the same name, which focused on a concept that involved Wally West uncovering the titular Flashpoint, which was a device that could be an entry into the Speed Force, let alone other realities. Of course Vandal Savage tries to overtake the device for his own purposes, including but not limited to a weird plot revolving around the JFK assassination. The reason that's relevant is a few words from this teaser: "if there is to be anything left of the past, present, and future, they must learn the secret of the Flashpont."
Could this Flashpoint be the same concept? In the Elseworlds tale, Barry Allen has dreams that represent other realities that can be accessed through the Flashpoint, including the DC Universe. Could our DCU be looking at a battle through time and across realities through this concept that was added to the DC lexicon some ten years ago? Thanks to Joey and Craveonline for this wonderful theory on DC's next big thing, Flashpoint.
If you add it up, it's possible. Consider:
- Geoff Johns has brought Elseworlds into the main DCU before. Kingdom Come Superman anyone? The man is a master of dredging up DC history and making it new.
- Johns has also used this same build up in another title of his. You know, that Green Lantern book. Both titles, thus far, have begun with Rebirth mini-series that lead directly into a brand new monthly ongoing, with a tease for a big story featuring said character. How do we know that in 6 years we won't look back on The Flash: Rebirth realizing all of the little plot points Johns had set up, like we are doing today with Green Lantern: Rebirth?
- Every incarnation of the Big Three shown in the teaser isn't their natural state. A vampire Batman, war mongering Wonder Woman and militaristic Superman are all great fodder for an Elseworlds story or alternate Earth, some of which we've already seen. Could these twisted versions of our beloved DCU heroes be using the Flashpoint to invade our world, city by city?
- Brightest Day, The Return of Bruce Wayne and Rip Hunter: Time Master all point to a renewed importance in the timestream aspect of the DCU. DC went so far as to say that Rip Hunter would have some clues implanted in it that lead right to DC's next big event.

Minka Kelly Playing Diana in David Kelley's WONDER WOMAN?
Warner Bros. Television has reported tapped television producer David E. Kelley to bring the iconic heroine back to life. Kelley’s previous TV creations include “Ally McBeal,” “Boston Legal” and “The Practice.” This agreement comes after nearly a decade of failed attempts to bring live-action Wonder Woman movie back to the big screen.
While at lunch watching ESPN (of all places) I heard Colin Cowherd state that Minka Kelly may play Wonder Woman in the new tv series. It was on while comparing Kelly and Derek Jetter, discussing who may have a "brighter future" that Kelly was mentioned in connection with the new show that DC/WB have in the works. I vote Kelly - how could you not!
Kelly is probably best known as Lyla Garrity in the Friday Night Lights tv show, but has also starred in several movies. Any fans of Marc Webb's 500 Days of Summer will remember her cameo at the end as Autumn!
We will continue to research this rumor and bring you any additional news. In the mean time, what do you think? I like it!

Cast of Seinfeld as DC Superheroes
David Watcher put two of my favorite things together Seinfeld and DC Comics. Prior to his fantastic artwork, I would have never thought it possible that the two would meet. I love George Constanza as Batman wearing his glasses. Just classic! Head over to David's site to see some more beautiful, creative and unique artwork.

Maybe Wonder Woman's New Costume Should Just Be Body Paint
If you are an avid reader of gfest, then you probably don't care much for Wonder Woman's new costume, even if it was designed by the legendary Jim Lee.
Designing new costumes is tricky business. Its somewhat rare for a new costume to be universally loved upon introduction. Some have become popular over time, but many eventually vanish and are never seen from again. We suspect that will eventually be the case with the new Wonder Woman pantsuit.
Having said all that, gfest is willing to stake its reputation that the above body paint costume would be universally loved and adored the day it was unveiled.
Are we wrong?
