Superheroes as Pablo Picasso Envisioned Them

I always liked Picasso's art.  Each and every-time I view it, I can't help but think to myself, even I could paint a picture that looks like that.  Everything out of place, with multiple features and bright colors.

Now thanks to Mike and Matt over at Etsy, I now have a new found respect for Picasso and the cubist movement.  These superheroes postcards re-imagined as Picasso paintings are absolutely fabulous.

Mike and Matt are selling their bizarre superhero reinterpretations as prints and postcards over at Etsy, so once you check out our favorites below, head there and buy something to encourage them to keep pumping out these modern classics.

We can all be Tony Stark in Raytheon's Second-Generation Exoskeleton

Oh to be Iron Man...it's every comic fans dream.  While we cannot strap on our Iron Man suit like Tony Stark, the road to making it a reality just got a little bit closer.

Raytheon has unveiled its second-generation exoskeleton (XOS 2) robot suit. XOS 2 is lighter("light enough to play soccer in"), stronger and faster than its predecessor, yet it uses 50 percent less power, and its new design makes it more resistant to the environment. Watch the video!

Big Superheros + Small Heads = Beautiful Art

I doing my daily run down of comic related news when I stumbled upon a post from Comics Alliance (one of my favorite sites) about Patricio Betteo and his art.  I was captivated by these shrunken head superheros.  The small heads, elongated bodies and use of bright colors makes these unique superhero prints a must have for any collector.

The explorations on Betteo's deviantART account contain a lot of the same faces that other superhero-fan artists tackle on the site, like Iron Man, Hellboy and The Joker. Fortunately,  Betteo also incorporated one of my favorite all-time books into his one-of-a-kind art - BONE.  I love the piece with Rose and Fone Bone.  His Spider-Man meeting a fly scene is also extremely creative and very well done.

Sinestro Brand Moustache Wax and Other Superhero Endorsements

After years of ridicule, is Booster Gold's dream of being able to become a superhero millionaire simply by accepting endorsement deals now a reality?  Well no, but imagine if it was.

Superheroes reach celebrity status.  They endorse products we all know.  And Booster Gold looks like a pioneer.  I don't even have a moustache, and I already want to buy some of the Sinestro Brand Stache Wax.
