FIRST LOOK: GREEN LANTERN/PLASTIC MAN: WEAPONS OF MASS DECEPTION

Plastic Man and Green Lantern one-shot.  Oh Ya!  How can you make it any better?  Add Marv Wolfman as the writer and ASTRO CITY artist Brent Anderson.

According to The Source here's the 411 on this awesome team-up issue.  "A cabal of aliens hiding in plain site on Earth, and they’re set on smuggling weapons off the planet to fuel an interplanetary conflict. Who’s around to save the day? Green Lantern. Good, right? And Plastic Man. Hm. Good luck, GL."

Anderson's cover looks great but we'll have to wait until December for the entire issue.  They say all good things come to those that wait.

FIRST LOOK: GREEN LANTERN EMERALD WARRIORS #1

I am Gfest blogger.
Gfest blogger I am.
I do not like Guy Gardner.
I do not like him in Green Lantern books.
I do not like him in any comic books.
You make think I am unfair, but I do not like him anywhere.
I do not like him Green or Red
I do not like his big fathead
I do like Hal Jordan instead
Some say Gfest Blogger give Guy a chance you may like him after first glance.
I tell them all I cannot, he's too annoying and irrelevant
He comes off as such a little runt
That he has to be a big, fat CUNT!

With that being said, here is a first look at GREEN LANTERN EMERALD WARRIORS #1.  The solcit from DC reads as follows:

A whole new chapter in the epic GREEN LANTERN saga gets under way as Guy Gardner begins his secret mission for Atrocitus, bringing him into conflict with Hal Jordan with massive repercussions for the Green Lantern Corps.
Guy takes fellow Emerald Warriors Kilowog and Arisia along as he explores the Unknown Sectors — but what happens when they discover his mission and what’s waiting for them in the unpatrolled darkness?

Batman: Return of Bruce Wayne #4 PREVIEW- COWBOY BATMAN

I like the idea of Batman being in a cowboy setting.  It's like Bruce Wayne is the Roland Deschain of his own Dark Tower series - Batman:  The Last Gunslinger.  This is the first issue of Grant Morrison's Bruce Wayne arc that I have been excited about.

Solict from DC reads:
This Grant Morrison’s can’t-miss Batman story rolls on as Bruce Wayne’s next stop on his amazing journey through time brings him to the Wild West – but will he escape alive? Artist Georges Jeanty joins Morrison to take The Dark Knight on a ride.

Enjoy the preview below.

First Look at the Jonah Hex Short Animated Film

MTV has provided the first look at the Jonah Hex animated short.  While you would think it would be impossible for it to be worse than Megan Fox's Jonah Hex, this preview clip doesn't inspire much hope.

The clip is just a little over one minute long, and the first half entails nothing more than Jonah Hex riding a horse and not speaking a word.  Seriously.

Bruce Timm's DC Animation Department is including the Jonah Hex Short in with the Batman: Under the Red Hood Movie.  That movie looks awesome, and we were already buying that, so at least the Jonah short won't cost us any additional money.  But it doesn't look at this point like the Jonah Hex short will come close to matching the first short animated film of The Spectre.
