Live Action Hulk Series Coming to ABC

According to Deadline, The Incredible Hulk is muscling his way to prime-time TV. ABC is in very early stages of development of a live-action series adaptation of the popular Marvel comic book character. There is no writer on board yet with search underway. Marvel, which was acquired by ABC parent Disney last year for $4 billion, started a major push in TV in June with the launch of Marvel Television whose goal was to adapt Marvel characters and stories to the small screen. Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb (Smallville) and his team quickly zeroed in on The Hulk, with rumors of a potential Hulk live-action series first surfacing in mid-summer.

The Hulk is the second major comic book character to get a prime-time treatment for next season. Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics are developing a Wonder Woman series with The Practice creator David E. Kelley.

What other Marvel, DC, Image, Boom, etc. properties should get their own television series?

Marvel 's Scariest Wolverine Cover Ever

Admittedly,  I do not read Wolverine all that often.  Not that I don't like him as a character, but mainly because there are just too many titles.  As a novice Wolverine reader I am confused when it comes to the continuity of this character and his relationship with the X-Men and the Marvel Universe.  Similar to what DC is doing with Batman.

"What If? Wolverine: Father" cover by Leinil Francis Yuonly only adds to my confusion.  Not that the art isn't wonderful but my Lord this makes this character even more confusing for a non-die-hard fan.

Could that kid be anymore scary?  Freakin kid is like something out of a John Carpenter or Wes Craven movie. I thought "Child's Play" was scary, but Chucky's a light-weight compared to this thing.

Marvel Announces Next Chapter in Stephen King's Dark Tower Series

Marvel Comics has announced that the next installment of the Dark Tower series kicks off in December. Dark Tower: The Gunslinger – The Little Sisters of Eluria will be written by Robin Furth and Peter David, with art by Luke Ross.

Synopsis from Marvel is as follows:
Roland’s journey has been long and treacherous and now there is nothing he can do to fend off the Little Sisters and whatever they have in store for him. Will the Gunslinger live to see the light of day? Find out in Dark Tower: The Gunslinger – The Little Sisters Of Eluria #1!
I am a huge fan of the Dark Tower Series.  I enjoy having this comic in my rotation on a monthly basis. I am extremely excited that Marvel and Stephen King has agreed to keep this series going on a regular basis.  Robin Furth does a wonderful job of exploring and expanding the Dark Tower world.

Dan Didio Will Actually Let You Talk to Him... for $100

Gfest is all on board with The Hero Initiative which provides a financial safety net for comic creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work.

Leading up to Comic Con International, The Hero Initiative  has several really cool items up for auction on eBay.  It also has the opportunity to hang out in a hotel room with recently demoted DC Comics co-publisher Dan Didio and likely be treated like crap.

You and four other "lucky" fans will be escorted up to a San Diego hotel suite where you will be given the honor of meeting the Great Didio himself.  Presumably, since you're laying out some serious cash for the event, Dan won't treat you like a scumbag, which is the way he usually treats fans at Comic Con panels.  Although our money says he still treats you like shit.

Marvel Comics Joe Quesada has also agreed to meet five fans for The Hero Initiative.  It will be interesting to see who raises more money for The Hero Initiative at the end of the auction.  Stay tuned to Gfest for the final tally.

And if any of you actually win the Dan Didio auction, we would be happy to submit you a list of questions.
